Yapay Zeka Gündemi: Yeni Modeller ve Yatırımlar

In the AI ecosystem this week, new models focused especially on coding and UI development, along with infrastructure investments, stand out. Competition in the sector is taking shape through technical capacity growth and hardware strategies.

New AI Models

On the model side, three important announcements took place targeting technical capacity and specialized task performance:

  • MiniMax M2.1: Focused on multilingual software and UI development, this model was designed for use in agent-based tasks and web/mobile UI generation.
  • Z.ai GLM-4.7: Surpassing GLM-4.6 in coding, complex reasoning, and tool-use capabilities, the model became the default model of the GLM Coding Plan.
  • Liquid AI LFM2-2.6B-Exp: Trained with pure reinforcement learning, the model delivers high performance in instruction following and mathematics. It is stated that, in the IFBench score, it outperformed models with far more parameters than itself.

OpenAI and ChatGPT Updates

OpenAI introduced improvements for the end-user experience and new access options:

  • Personalization: Users gained the ability to adjust ChatGPT’s tone to be more friendly or formal.
  • ChatGPT Go in Turkey: The service was opened to access in Turkey; the iOS subscription was set at 249.99 TL per month.
  • Ad Integration: OpenAI put the placement of ads within responses and possible partnerships into the evaluation process.

Hardware and Autonomous Systems

Nvidia decided to license the company’s chip technology by bringing Groq CEO Jonathan Ross into its ranks. This move is important in terms of the competitive balance in AI chip architecture.

In the autonomous driving vertical, Waymo began testing a Gemini-based in-vehicle assistant in its robotaxis. The assistant was configured to answer passenger questions in a way isolated from driving control.

Investment Activity

The financial flow in the sector continues at both the global infrastructure and startup levels:

  • ByteDance: TikTok’s parent company plans to allocate a budget of $23 billion for AI infrastructure in 2026, especially chips and data centers.
  • Global Ventures: Marissa Mayer’s venture Dazzle.ai received $8 million, logistics-focused Kargo received $42 million, and video avatar venture Lemon Slice received $10.5 million in investment.
  • Domestic Investments: Webrazzi GSYF made investments in AI-focused Next Big App and gaming venture GameByte.
