Fal.ai Raised $140 Million in Series D Funding

Investment Details and Participants

San Francisco-based multimodal AI infrastructure provider Fal.ai raised $140 million in a Series D funding round led by Sequoia. With this round, the company’s valuation reached $4.5 billion. Kleiner Perkins, NVIDIA’s investment arm NVentures, and Alkeon Capital participated in the funding round. Existing investors such as Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), Kindred Ventures, and Salesforce Ventures also took part in the round.

Infrastructure and Growth Metrics

Led by Görkem Yurtseven and Burkay Gür, Fal.ai offers developers a cloud-based API infrastructure to run image, video, and audio models. The company thus completed its third investment in 2025, following its Series B and C rounds. While billions of real-time media assets are generated monthly through the platform, the company’s run-rate revenue doubled in the last four months.

The new funding source will be used in the following areas:

• Expansion of global server and compute infrastructure.
• Growth of engineering and go-to-market (GTM) teams.
• Development of new multimodal product lines.
• Increase in model integration speed.

Already serving large-scale technology companies such as Adobe, Canva, and Shopify, Fal.ai provides developers with access to more than 600 AI models.
