Suguya: Discover local listings and services

Suguya is the classifieds platform we developed to simplify local product and service discovery, starting in Burkina Faso. It brings together people looking for a vehicle, exploring housing options, considering a secondhand item, or seeking a nearby service provider in one discovery space.
Focus on nearby options
In local shopping, not only what a product is but also where it is matters. On Suguya, you can search by category and city to browse listings that meet your needs. Vehicles, real estate, new and secondhand products, and services offer separate discovery spaces for different needs. Our aim is to reduce unnecessary steps when finding the option you want.
Review the listing, speak directly with the seller
You can review the photos and description of a listing that interests you and discuss the details with the seller. Phone, WhatsApp, and messaging options support direct communication. Clarifying points such as the product's condition, location, and meeting arrangements with the other party is an important part of this experience.
We put mobile use first
We are developing Suguya as a mobile-first experience available on the web and through an app. Browsing listings on the go, comparing local options, and making contact are among our core use cases. Users who want to post listings can also present their products or services with photos and descriptions.
Suguya's role in this experience is to simplify discovery and communication. Buyers and sellers communicate directly; payment collection or delivery guarantees through the platform should not be assumed. Reviewing listings carefully and mutually clarifying terms remain important.
We will share development progress here
With this post, we are introducing Suguya on our corporate blog. From now on, on Sundays when there are new developments to share, we will describe our work on search, listing creation, mobile use, and the discovery experience in separate weekly posts. This will let you follow the project's progress through concrete changes.
