Turkish AI Ecosystem 2025 Report Published

Ecosystem Data and Investment Trends
The results of the “Turkish AI Ecosystem and Global Impact Report,” prepared through the collaboration of AI Factory, Endeavor, and Startups.Watch, were shared. According to the data, there are 1,188 AI startups actively operating in Turkey, and about 70 percent of them were founded in 2020 and later. On the corporate side, the rate of collaborating with startups for AI adoption remained at 6.25 percent.
Technical Focus and Diaspora Comparison
The report clearly shows the differences in technical focus between Turkey-based startups and the Turkish diaspora abroad. While 16 percent of startups in Turkey focus on Computer Vision, GenAI ranks second at 12 percent. In contrast, within the Turkish diaspora, GenAI ranks first at 25 percent, followed by Agentic AI at 21 percent.
On the investment side, the gap has widened. In 2025, the median amount of investment received by the Turkish diaspora reached $2.4 million. This amount corresponds to 24 times the median investment amount of Turkey-based startups. This data shows that startups in the diaspora move faster in scaling and access to capital.
Unicorn and B2B Focus
The weight of B2B solutions is felt in the ecosystem’s business model preferences. While about 75 percent of both local and diaspora startups operate with a B2B focus, the share of B2C-focused startups remains below 10 percent. The report also states that with Insider reaching unicorn status, Turkey has strengthened its position in its region, and in addition, diaspora startups such as Periodic Labs and Fal.ai have also entered global unicorn lists.
